Course Description

The Professional Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management (OTHM Level 5) is an international higher education programme delivered with the scientific endorsement of IUL Telematic University. The course provides the recognition of University Credit Units (CFU) pursuant to art. 14, paragraph 1 of Law 240/2010, enabling participants to include the programme in their academic curriculum. The programme develops specialist competencies in digital tourism marketing, operations management, revenue management, human resource management, customer relationship management, and sector trend analysis, with a practical approach oriented towards the global market. Delivered in English, the diploma is approved and regulated by OTHM Qualifications (Ofqual) and is equivalent to the second year of a British Bachelor's Degree. Participants who wish to do so may also access, through OTHM recognition, the final year (Year 3) of an undergraduate degree programme at affiliated British universities, with the possibility of progression to the higher level (OTHM Level 6).

The programme aims to train professionals able to operate in the tourism and hospitality sector with advanced managerial and operational competencies. Participants will acquire skills in managing multichannel digital marketing campaigns, applying operations and revenue management tools, developing customer relationship management strategies, and coordinating human resources in structured tourism contexts. The programme also enables the development of financial and economic skills for the analysis of financial statements, construction of business budgets, and performance evaluation, as well as analytical skills for interpreting the main trends in the international tourism sector.

The programme is open to candidates aged 18 or over who hold at least one of the following: Level 4 Qualification Diploma or equivalent; Secondary school leaving certificate (high school diploma) or equivalent; Mature candidates (over 21) with proven professional experience in the relevant sector. Non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate an adequate level of English language proficiency.
